Retreat to laguna beach for a nourishing 5 days by the ocean, time out in nature and tide pools, and a deep dive into our yoga practice.
Next spring, create space for to return home on and off the yoga mat in Laguna Beach, California alongside a community of other wonderful women.
Together we’ll enjoy plenty of yoga practices and workshopping as we take time to explore and play on our yoga mats, time to slow down and relax, and time out in nature on the beach, in the tide pools and ocean, and on the trail.
We’ll stay just across the street from the beach and Heisler Park at the lovely Laguna Beach House Hotel and enjoy time poolside or in the hot tub, and we will be walking distance to all in town, and just a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach.
We will ground in daily yoga practices 1-2 times a day, guided + silent mindful and vipassana meditations, take time to reflect in journaling sessions, and slow down together on the yoga mat and in life. We will be heading to some incredible time pools together, and will also get out for a hike. Together, we’ll relax on the beach, learn and explore on the yoga mat, and enjoy all of nature’s beauty around us in Laguna Beach.
Take a deep dive into your yoga and meditation practices and enjoy time spent breaking down and workshopping a variety of posture, as well as an inner exploration into the breath, subtleties, and nuances of the practice.
A healthy daily breakfast/brunch will be provided each day, as well as two dinners, so that we have ample time in community, and also time to relax and enjoy a little solo time if wished.
During the retreat and adventure we’ll also take time for a little art and painting, and periods of free to relax, head to the beach, or explore.

Yoga
We will be practicing a strong, dynamic, and compassionate yoga practice and flow marrying together the traditions of Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
We will slowly and mindfully weave our way through alignment-based practices each day taking time to workshop asanas and come-see-come-look moments giving students the opportunity to demo postures as we practice.
Expect longer holds occasionally, flowing, break-downs of alignment and postures, and a focus on the breath. Classes are wonderful and appropriate for all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners and teachers. We ask students to be curious and expect to take a deep and joyful dive into the practice and their own inner ecology and wilderness.
Skill Level - appropriate for beginner, intermediate, advanced
Meditation We will enjoy guided meditation and will explore the style of Vipassana meditation also known as insight meditation.
Within this style we will explore a variety of methods including breath meditation, and heart meditations including a compassion meditation and a metta or living kindness meditation. We will talk about the basics of meditation, finding a comfortable seat, and the roots of mindfulness.
Hiking
We will be getting out for a hike and maybe a second nature walk during our time on retreat. The hike will be moderate in difficulty, however we are hiking closer to sea level so it should be appropriate for most, we are not doing anything too intense.
We will go easy and not push it too hard when hiking. We will take breaks for the group and listen to our needs.
Please bring good and supportive hiking shoes, a daypack to hike with, a reusable water bottle, a hat, sunglasses if needed, sunscreen, and layers.
